05:28 PM EDT, 08/12/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Aflac ( AFL ) said late Tuesday its board approved the repurchase of up to 100 million shares of its common stock.

The new authorization is in addition to the 30.9 million shares remaining under the company's Nov. 8, 2022, buyback program as of June 30, bringing the total available for repurchase to about 130.9 million shares.

share repurchases may be made from time to time in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions, according to the company.
