After weak Q2, Finolex Industries says margins will improve once PVC prices stabilise
Oct 23, 2023 8:54 AM

Ajit Venkataraman, Managing Director of Finolex Industries, expressed worry over the significant volatility in polyvinyl chloride (PVC) prices and its impact on business in the near term.

The price of PVC has hit a low of $750 per metric tonne. This price turbulence led to a slowdown in demand for the company, Venkataraman pointed out.

However, he is confident that the price is at its low point and growth will resume once the PVC prices stabilise.

On potential strategies between Finolex Cables and Finolex Industries, Venkataraman said the companies operate independently. "They do not engage in promoter-level activities," he said.
