Agios Pharmaceuticals Shares Fall After Q3 Revenue Miss

10:34 AM EDT, 10/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Agios Pharmaceuticals ( AGIO ) shares fell 2.7% in recent Thursday trading after the company's Q3 revenue fell below market expectations.

The biopharmaceutical company reported Q3 net income Thursday of $16.22 per diluted share, compared with a loss of $1.64 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected earnings of $8.69 per share.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was about $9.0 million, up from $7.4 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $9.5 million.
