09:21 AM EDT, 03/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Agnico Eagle Mines ( AEM ) was at last look down near 0.9% on Thursday after saying that it agreed to subscribe for 20.77 million units of Cartier Resources ( ECRFF ) for $2.7 million.

Following the transaction, Agnico's stake in Cartier will increase to 27.7% on an undiluted basis and 32.2% on a partially-diluted basis.

Agnico currently owns a 26.6% stake in Cartier on an undiluted basis and 28.0% on a partially-diluted basis.

Agnico said it is acquiring the shares for investment purposes.
