AI Startup Humane Reportedly in Talks With HP, Others for Potential Sale
Jun 6, 2024 9:55 AM

12:30 PM EDT, 06/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- HP (HPQ) is among the parties artificial intelligence startup Humane is currently in talks with for a potential sale, according to media reports Thursday.

The maker of AI Pin, backed by Microsoft (MSFT) among others, has reportedly hired investment bank Tidal Partners to advise on a potential deal.

Apart from HP, the company is in talks with more than one telecom company, CNBC reported.

Talks of a potential sale come after AI Pin failed to impress reviewers. The $699 gadget, meant to worn on the lapel, was touted as a replacement for smartphones, but did not perform as intended.

Humane, HP, and Microsoft did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
