03:57 PM EDT, 04/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Air Canada ( ACDVF ) on Tuesday said it is launching new international flights connecting Vancouver and Manila.
The company said the move will strengthen its presence in Southeast Asia and support Canada's Indo-Pacific strategy. With this new route, Air Canada ( ACDVF ) will now offer year-round, four-times-weekly service between Canada and the Philippines, which connects to 25 Canadian destinations through its YVR Pacific hub.
The celebrations at Vancouver's YVR hub took place Tuesday, with the first flight, AC017, departing on Wednesday and arriving in Manila on April 3.
This comes after the airline earlier on Tuesday said it is resuming its Ottawa to London Heathrow flights. There will be four weekly flights to London.
"With the wide array of connections available at Heathrow throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India and more, Air Canada's ( ACDVF ) Ottawa-Heathrow flights offer easy international flight options to and from Canada's National Capital region," said Mark Galardo, Air Canada ( ACDVF ) executive vice president, revenue & network planning.
