10:53 AM EDT, 06/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Air Transat (TRZ.TO) said Thursday that it launched its first flight connecting the Montreal-Trudeau International Airport in Quebec to the Marrakech-Menara International Airport in Morocco.

The flight is the only non-stop service between Canada and Marrakech and will operate year-round, twice weekly May to October and once weekly from November to April, Air Transat said.

"This direct route will allow the Moroccan diaspora to reunite more easily with their loved ones while offering Canadian travellers a unique opportunity to discover the cultural and historical wonders of Morocco," said Joseph Adamo, Air Transat's chief sales and marketing officer.
