12:31 PM EST, 01/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AirBoss of America ( ABSSF ) on Wednesday said its AirBoss Defense Group received a three-year, US$82.3-millon contract from the U.S. government for its lightweight overboot.

The overboots, designed to provide superior protection against chemical and biological threats, have been purchased by over 60 countries, with 6.1-million pairs sold to date, the company said.

"This new contract builds upon the recently announced awards in our defense business, highlighting continued positive momentum in top line growth for our defense products," said Chris Bitsakakis, co-chief executive of AirBoss.

AirBoss was last seen up $0.04 to $4.00 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
