Airbus confirms 142 first-quarter jet deliveries

PARIS, April 9 (Reuters) - Airbus deliveries rose 12% in

the first quarter to 142 airplanes, the European planemaker said

on Tuesday.

The figure confirms a Reuters report last week and puts the

France-based company ahead of U.S. rival Boeing ( BA ), which

delivered 83 commercial airplanes in the first quarter.
