More than 360,000 flights are expected to operate during the holiday period, with Tuesday anticipated to witness the peak travel with over 52,000 flights, the FAA said.
Shares of American Airlines ( AAL ) , Southwest Airlines ( LUV ) , Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) , Alaska Air ( ALK ) and United Airlines (UAL) were all showing gains in the most recent premarket activity.
