Nov 19, 2018 5:20 AM

The low-cost data services by Reliance Jio has disrupted the market and has forced other operators to respond with generous counter-offers to retain customers, turning up the competitive heat in a market of over 1.12 billion mobile subscribers.

The mobile data consumption in India is now the highest in the world at 1.3 million GB per month — more than combined data usage in the US and China.

Here is a look at popular data plans provided by Airtel, Jio and Vodafone to its customers.

Bharti Airtel's

The latest prepaid recharge plan from the telecom giant offers 105 GBs of data for just Rs 419. The 75 day plan will come with a cap of 1.4 GB data per day. The prepaid plan also provides users with other facilities such as unlimited local/STD and national roaming calls along with 100 free SMSes per day.

Reliance Jio's Rs 349 plan:

The Reliance Jio on the other hand offers a Rs 349 plan to all its Jio Prime customers. People availing the plan get 105 GBs of data for a period of 70 days. There will be a daily cap of 1.5 GB for data usage. In addition the user can also make unlimited number of number local/STD and national roaming calls for free besides 100 free SMSes per day.

Vodafone's Rs 399 plan:

Users availing Rs 399 plan are provided with 98 GBs of data valid for 70 days. The data offer will come with a cap of 1.4 GB data per day. In addition, users can send 100 free SMSes daily and will also benefit from the option of making unlimited number local/STD and national roaming calls for free.
