07:58 AM EDT, 09/04/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alamos Gold ( AGI ) reported on Wednesday the latest results from ongoing surface exploration drilling at the Puerto Del Aire (PDA) and Cerro Pelon projects in Mexico.
Highlights at Cerro Pelon include 5.45 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 27.90 meters, including 31.07 g/t gold over 1.25 meters.
Results from PDA include 5.43 g/t gold over 18.05 meters and 23.60 g/t gold over 3.00 meters.
Alamos said the exploration results are expected to support further growth in reserves and resources at PDA, and an initial underground resource at Cerro Pelon with the year-end update expected to be released in February 2025.
"With PDA and Cerro Pelon open in multiple directions, and a number of other promising targets, there is excellent potential to continue defining higher-grade mineral reserves and resources across the Mulatos district," President and CEO John McCluskey said.
Alamos' share price fell 3.8% yesterday to $25.00.
