09:43 AM EDT, 08/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alaska Air Group ( ALK ) said Tuesday that it had made an investment in JetZero, a pioneering company developing a new blended-wing body aircraft that might reduce fuel consumption.

The amount of the investment was not disclosed.

Alaska said it invested as part of JetZero's series A last year.

The airline said the investment, made through Alaska Star Ventures, includes options for aircraft orders.
