Alaska Air Group Q2 Adjusted Earnings Decline, Revenue Increases; Shares Slip After Hours

05:52 PM EDT, 07/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alaska Air Group ( ALK ) reported Q2 adjusted earnings late Wednesday of $2.55 per diluted share, down from $3 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $2.38.

Revenue for the quarter that ended June 30 was $2.90 billion, up from $2.84 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $2.94 billion.

The company said it expects Q3 earnings of $1.40 to $1.60 per share. Three analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $2.19.

Alaska Air ( ALK ) expects full-year earnings of $3.50 to $4.50 per share, versus its previous guidance of $3.25 to $5.25. Four analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expect $4.40.

Shares of the company fell 1.3% in after-hours activity.
