08:22 AM EST, 12/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alaska Air Group ( ALK ) said Tuesday it now expects higher Q4 adjusted earnings per share, guiding a range of $0.40 to $0.50 from a previous outlook of $0.20 to $0.40.

Analysts polled by FactSet are looking for $0.49.

For the full year 2024, the company now expects $4.25 to $4.50 adjusted EPS, compared with $3.50 to $4.50 previously.

Analysts polled by FactSet expect $4.21.

For the full-year 2025, the company said it expects EPS of at least $5.75. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $5.55.

"October and November close-in bookings were strong and November revenue performed better than expected despite Thanksgiving travel return patterns shifting to early December," Alaska Air ( ALK ) said.

December revenue is higher than expected due to stronger holiday demand, the airline said. Non-operating expense is also lower after recently paying down additional debt, they added.

Shares of the carrier were up nearly 12% in recent Tuesday premarket activity.
