08:17 AM EST, 11/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Albany International ( AIN ) affiliate Heimbach Switzerland said Friday it plans to begin consultations with employee representatives on shutting its Olten manufacturing facility in Switzerland and transferring production to other Heimbach sites.

The decision aims to align paper machine clothing manufacturing capacity with market demand and customer needs, Heimbach said. The proposal affects 83 employees, who will receive support during the transition. Costs related to the closure will be disclosed after consultations are concluded, the company added.
