09:25 AM EDT, 04/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alcoa ( AA ) said Tuesday that its operations in San Ciprian, Spain were impacted by the country-wide loss of power on Monday.

Both the complex's refinery and smelter were affected, the company said.

Alcoa ( AA ) said it is doing a detailed assessment of the San Ciprian facility to "determine the full extent of the operational and financial impact."

The company's shares were down 0.6% in recent premarket activity.
