ALGIERS, June 13 (Reuters) - Algeria's Sonatrach signed

on Thursday a "heads of agreement" with Chevron ( CVX ) to

develop two gas basins in Ahnet and Berkin, Sonatrach's CEO

Rachid Hachichi told reporters.

Sonatrach aims to double its gas output to reach 200 billion

cubic meters in the medium term to continue to be a key supplier

to Europe.
