04:28 PM EST, 03/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Algoma Central ( AGMJF ) said Friday afternoon that it has reached a milestone by taking delivery of three new ships from three different countries within one week.
On Feb. 25, the Fure Vesborg, a dual-fuel tanker from the FureBear joint venture with Furetank, began operations in China and is set to trade in Northern Europe by the second quarter. The Algoma Endeavour, the final vessel in the Equinox Class series, was delivered on Feb. 26 in Croatia, designed for the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway. On March 4, the Algoma East Coast, an ice-class product tanker, was delivered in South Korea, with its sister ship, the Algoma Acadian, expected in late March, the company said.
"This milestone reflects Algoma's commitment to making significant capital investments to meet our customers' needs - in the US, Canada, and internationally - with the most efficient, reliable, and cost-effective fleet possible," said Chief Executive Gregg Ruhl.
Algoma Central ( AGMJF ) shares closed up $0.25 to $15.00 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
