Algonquin Sells Renewable Energy Business to LS Power

12:37 PM EST, 01/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Algonquin Power & Utilities ( AQNB ) said Wednesday it has sold its non-regulated renewable energy business, excluding its hydro fleet, to LS Power.

The company said it plans to use the net proceeds to pay down its debt and strengthen its balance sheet.

Shares of the company were down more than 2% in recent trading.

Price: 4.34, Change: -0.12, Percent Change: -2.58
