07:41 AM EDT, 04/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alibaba Group's ( BABA ) Alibaba Cloud unit said Monday that it has launched a new pricing strategy, effective immediately, for international customers, which includes price cuts of up to 59% on core public cloud products using its data centers outside the Chinese mainland.

The unit said the pricing strategy covers computing, storage, network, database, and big data products, with an average price reduction of 23%.

"Our latest pricing strategy is designed not only to reward long-term subscribers with more substantial discounts, but also to ensure that businesses can have a stable foundation to develop their long-term strategies when planning and developing their own AI applications," Selina Yuan, president of the international business of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, said.
