10:16 AM EDT, 04/29/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alibaba Group ( BABA ) introduced Tuesday the Qwen3 upgrade for its artificial intelligence model featuring hybrid reasoning capabilities.

According to Alibaba ( BABA ), hybrid reasoning models combine traditional large language model capabilities with advanced, dynamic reasoning.

The new Qwen3 models can switch between non-thinking mode for general purpose responses and thinking mode for complex, multi-step tasks including mathematics, coding and logical deduction, Alibaba ( BABA ) said.

Its flagship model is comparable in terms of coding, math and general capabilities with DeepSeek-R1, o1, o3-mini, Grok-3 and Gemini-2.5-Pro, the company said, adding all Qwen3 models are available for free download.
