07:03 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alibaba Group Holding ( BABA ) -backed artificial intelligence startup MiniMax launched Tuesday its MiniMax-M1 open source large-scale hybrid architecture inference model.

According to MiniMax, its M1 model supports a context input of 1 million, exceeding that of DeepSeek R1 and matching the Google Gemini 2.5 Pro from Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ).

MiniMax said it is set to issue updates in the next four consecutive working days, in addition to its M1 launch.
