10:48 AM EDT, 06/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alibaba ( BABA )-backed (BABA) startup Xreal launched Tuesday an Android mobile companion device for its augmented reality, or AR, glasses.
The Xreal Beam Pro comes with Alphabet's (GOOG) Google Play Store apps, streaming services and cloud gaming platforms in a 3D AR environment, all powered by Qualcomm's ( QCOM ) Snapdragon and Android 14, according to Xreal. It also comes with Nvidia's ( NVDA ) CloudXR technology and dual 50MP 3D cameras for creating spatial videos and 3D images, the company added.
Xreal also announced a new partnership with Amazon.com's ( AMZN ) Amazon Web Services unit to explore ways to use AWS infrastructure and tools to boost the processing power and functionality of Xreal Beam Pro.
Financial terms of the new partnership with AWS were not disclosed.
