11:02 AM EDT, 05/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alight (ALIT) said Wednesday Jeremy Heaton has been appointed chief financial officer, effective immediately.

Heaton, who had been the company's operating chief financial officer, succeeds Katie Rooney, according to Alight.

Rooney will remain chief operating officer until the completion of Alight's Payroll & Professional Services divestiture, expected in mid-2024, and will then step down, the company said.

Alight shares were down nearly 14% in recent trading.
