Align Technology Launches AI-Powered X-Ray Detection Software in EU, UK

11:37 AM EDT, 03/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Align Technology ( ALGN ) said Monday it has launched Align X-ray Insights, an artificial intelligence-powered and computer-aided detection software, in the European Union and the UK.

Align X-ray Insights, part of the Align Digital Platform, aids in diagnosing dental conditions, streamlining workflows, and enhancing patient engagement, offering AI-powered detection of caries, periapical radiolucencies, and bone loss, along with detailed reports and visual tools for treatment planning, the medical device company said.

The desktop and tablet version is expected to be available in the European Union and the UK on March 25, with iTero scanner integration to follow.

The software is cleared in Europe, the UK, Canada, and New Zealand, with pending approvals, including US FDA 510(k) clearance, the company said.

Shares of Align Technology ( ALGN ) were down more than 5% in recent Monday trading.
