Allegiant Travel Shares Fall After Q1 Results, Guidance

10:35 AM EDT, 05/07/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Allegiant Travel ( ALGT ) shares were down over 8% in recent Tuesday trading following its Q1 results and guidance.

Earlier, the travel company reported Q1 EPS, excluding special charges, of $0.57, down from $3.04 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.45.

Total operating revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $656.4 million, up from $649.7 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $645.2 million.

For Q2, the company expects EPS, excluding special charges, of $0.50 to $1.00. Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $1.32.

Allegiant kept its quarterly dividend at $0.60 per share, payable June 3 to shareholders of record May 15.
