10:39 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Allegiant Travel's ( ALGT ) proposed acquisition of Sun Country Airlines ( SNCY ) has been granted early termination of the US antitrust waiting period and is now anticipated to be completed in Q2 or Q3, the companies said Monday.

The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including US Department of Transportation approval alongside shareholder consent from both companies, according to a joint statement.

Shares of Allegiant Travel ( ALGT ) were up 2.1% and Sun Country Airlines ( SNCY ) shares were up 1.1% in Monday trading.
