10:05 AM EDT, 03/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alliant Energy ( LNT ) said Monday that Patrick Allen has been selected to be the new independent chair of the utility company's board of directors, effective after Alliant's next annual shareholders' meeting in May.

Allen will succeed John Larsen, who retired as executive board chair earlier this year after 36 years at the company and will step down from the board with the completion of his current term.

Allen, who has been a director of Alliant since 2011, previously was chief financial officer at Collins Aerospace from 2018 through his retirement in 2020.
