Alliant acquires Texas Insurance Agency in Laredo to secure foothold in one of U.S.’s busiest international trade ports; hires Nader Dabboussi and Jordan Lewis to execute cross-border strategy

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Alliant Insurance Services, the nation’s leading specialty broker, announces the expansion of its nationwide transportation specialty platform through a series of strategic acquisitions and key senior level hires. The growth signifies Alliant’s foothold in cross-border transportation risk management in South Texas and its continued expansion throughout the state.

Alliant has acquired Texas Insurance Agency in Laredo, one of the U.S.’s busiest international trade ports, specializing in cross-border trucking risk and insurance; as well as McAfee Insurance Agency in Mabank, a leading insurance service provider in East Texas. Alliant Transportation continues its expansion strategy in Texas, specializing in cross-border transportation risk and integrating technology-based solutions with risk management strategies to ensure improved risk outcomes and measurable success in complex markets.

Alongside the acquisitions, Alliant strengthens its regional expertise, hiring Nader Dabboussi in Dallas and Jordan Lewis in McAllen. Dabboussi has 20+ years’ risk management experience in the challenging cross-border public transportation sector. Lewis specializes in delivering comprehensive insurance and risk solutions designed specifically for trucking and transportation companies operating throughout the South Texas and cross-border territories. Both cross-border specialists leverage data-driven telematics, analytics and technology platforms to strengthen clients’ risk posture through data-informed insurance solutions.

“The new office locations and key hires in South and East Texas align with Alliant’s growth strategy in the state,” said Michael Cusack, Executive Vice President, Alliant Specialty. “The growth solidifies our leadership position in providing strategic risk management insight to the transportation industry while leveraging technology platforms to ease the complexities of international brokering.”

“Alliant is a key strategic partner with the primary objective to empower businesses across the transportation supply chain with tailored insurance solutions that align with their growth and operational goals, even in the most challenging markets,” added Lisa Paul, Executive Vice President, Alliant Transportation.
