07:48 AM EDT, 10/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Almonty Industries ( ALM ) over the Canada Thanksgiving weekend said it has filed a notice in the Ontario Superior Court against Pure Tungsten, seeking injunctive relief to address "materially false and misleading statements."
According to AII, these statements involve commentary on Almonty, its Sangdong Mine, and the past involvement of an individual, Tiger Kim, in the company.
While AII noted certain posts containing "false or unsupported" information following cease-and-desist letters from Almonty have been removed, it said Pure Tungsten has failed to correct a number of incorrect statements or issue a retraction. Instead, AII added, Pure Tungsten has issued a letter threatening criminal proceedings against Almonty's chairman, president and chief executive officer Lewis Black, in Korea.
"Pure Tungsten's campaign of misinformation regarding Almonty is a direct threat to market integrity and to the interests of our shareholders," said Black. "We will vigorously pursue all available remedies to ensure the public record is corrected and to protect investors from being misled."
