05:53 AM EDT, 09/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alpha and Omega Semiconductor ( AOSL ) said Wednesday it has launched ideal diode protection switches to support multi-port Type-C PD 3.0 current sinking applications up to 100 watts.

The AOZ1390DI has limited power source function and is made to enhance USB Type-C efficiency and safety, the firm said.

The new protection switch has two variants, AOZ1390DI-01 and AOZ1390DI-02, the company added.

The new devices are now available and the unit price is $1.40 for 1000-piece quantities, according to Alpha and Omega.
