Alphabet's Google Fined $75 Million By Turkish Antitrust Regulator
Dec 13, 2024 7:40 AM

10:19 AM EST, 12/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) was fined 2.61 billion Turkish lira ($74.7 million) by the Turkish Competition Authority for alleged breaches of the country's competition rules, the watchdog said Friday.

The regulator said that a probe found that Google ( GOOG ) had secured an "unfair advantage for its own supply side platform service," based on having a dominant position in the "publisher ad server services market."

Google ( GOOG ) must provide other supply side platforms with conditions that "may not be less favorable than those applied to its own services," the watchdog said.

Google ( GOOG ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
