Alphabet's Google Reportedly Boosts Technical Infrastructure Investments in Singapore to $5 Billion

03:20 PM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) invested $5 billion in its technical infrastructure in Singapore, with its fourth data center in the Southeast Asian country completed in May, the company said Monday, according to multiple news outlets.

Google ( GOOG ) said last week it would invest $2 billion to develop its first data center in Malaysia, according to the reports.

Google's ( GOOG ) data centers in Singapore employ more than 500 people and support services such as Google Search and Maps. the reports said.

Google ( GOOG ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
