Alphabet's Waymo Launches Autonomous Ride-Hailing Service for Everyone in San Francisco

12:02 PM EDT, 06/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo said Tuesday that the autonomous ride-hailing service Waymo One is open to everyone in San Francisco.

So far, about 300,000 people have signed up with the service since it started a waitlist, Waymo added.

Waymo said it started the service years ago and has been increasing riders incrementally before this launch for everyone.
