Alphabet's Waymo to Add Over 2,000 Robotaxis Through 2026

12:15 PM EDT, 05/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Waymo said Monday it plans to build over 2,000 more fully autonomous vehicles to bring its robotaxi services to Atlanta, Miami, and Washington D.C. in 2026.

The company said it currently has over 1,500 robotaxis operating in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Phoenix and Austin.

Waymo said it received earlier this year its final delivery of electric SUVs from Jaguar, which will be equipped with autonomous driving technology Waymo Driver at the manufacturing facility built with partner Canadian auto parts maker Magna in Mesa, Arizona.
