07:38 AM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) YouTube ( GOOG ) will soon provide an opportunity for all content creators to rejoin the platform if their channels were terminated for repeated violation of COVID-19 and elections integrity policies, company lawyer Daniel Donovan said in a letter dated Tuesday.
"The company terminated channels for repeatedly violating its community guidelines on elections integrity content through 2023 and COVID-19 content through 2024," Donovan said in the letter to Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan. "Today, YouTube's ( GOOG ) community guidelines allow for a wider range of content regarding COVID-19 and elections integrity."
In a social media post, YouTube ( GOOG ) said it will launch a "limited pilot project that will be available to a subset of creators in addition to those channels terminated for policies that have been deprecated."
