Alphabet's YouTube Trails TikTok in Global Video Revenue, Omdia Says

10:25 AM EST, 01/21/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) YouTube ( GOOG ) had a global advertising revenue of $33.3 billion in 2024 compared with TikTok's global video revenues of $63.3 billion, Omdia reported Tuesday.

In 2024, TikTok crossed 1.9 billion monthly active users globally, including 145 million monthly active users in the US, with about $8 billion advertising revenue, according to Omdia.

YouTube ( GOOG ) and TikTok were the leading video platforms in the US among 18 to 35-year-olds, the report added.

YouTube ( GOOG ) and TikTok did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
