08:11 AM EDT, 07/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphamin Resources ( AFMJF ) produced a record 4,027 tonnes of tin in the second quarter, 28% more than the previous quarter.
Alphamin attributed the increase to the Mpama South expansion in the Democratic Republic of Congo. With only half of the quarter benefiting from the expansion, the company expects the third quarter to deliver a further increase in tin production.
Tin sales fell 21% to 3,245 tonnes, with increased tin stocks from the expansion expected to clear in the third quarter.
Alphamin expects to post an Ebitda of US$54.2 million, up from US$52.1 million. The company will release its financial results for the second quarter around Aug. 23.
Alphamin's share price rose 2.7% yesterday to $1.15 on the TSXV.
