03:32 PM EDT, 05/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alpine Immune Sciences ( ALPN ) and Vertex Pharmaceuticals ( VRTX ) said Friday the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino antitrust act related to their merger deal expired Thursday.

Vertex has agreed to acquire Alpine for $4.9 billion in cash, or $65 a share.

Price: 64.94, Change: +0.12, Percent Change: +0.19
