Alternus Clean Energy Shares Climb on Removal of $100 Million in Debt

09:37 AM EDT, 10/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alternus Clean Energy ( ALCE ) shares climbed by more than 80% in early trading after it said in a regulatory filing Tuesday that it has removed approximately $100 million in debt and payables with the 1 euro ($1.10) sale of its Solis Bond Company unit.

The company said it sold the subsidiary Oct. 3 to Solis Trustee Special Vehicle Limited, which it said is the Solis bondholders' ownership vehicle

Alternus said the sale will improve shareholder equity by approximately $45 million, and that it will record the transaction as discontinued activities.
