Altus Power Purchases 3.4-Megawatt Solar Project From Chaberton Energy

08:58 AM EST, 11/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Altus Power ( AMPS ) said Thursday it has purchased an under-development 3.4-megawatt solar project in Maryland from Chaberton Energy.

Financial terms were not provided.

The company said that upon completion the project is expected to generate enough power to serve more than 380 households under Maryland's Community Solar Energy Generating Systems pilot program.

The project includes an over $2 million investment in grid and substation upgrades to support electricity reliability in Dorchester County and nearby areas, Altus Power ( AMPS ) said. Additionally, more than three acres of land have been placed under forest conservation as part of the development, it added.
