05:36 PM EDT, 08/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alvopetro Energy ( ALVOF ) on Monday reported early production results from its 183-D4 well at the Brazilian Murucututu natural gas field.
The well was drilled to a depth of 3,072 meters and intersected the Caruacu Member of the Maracangalha Formation, about 106 meters structurally higher than the nearby 183-A3 well. During a 70-hour test, it recovered 995 barrels of completion fluid and 174 barrels of natural gas liquids.
Corey C. Ruttan, president and CEO, said, "The initial results are extremely encouraging and have allowed us to post record daily natural gas production levels from our 100% owned Murucututu asset."
Alvopetro added that development continues at the unitized Cabure field, where four drilled wells are expected to come online by the end of the third quarter of 2025. In Canada, the company has completed and equipped two new wells acquired in July.
Shares of Alvopetro Energy ( ALVOF ) closed up $0.06 to $5.74 on the TSX Venture Exchange.
