Amarin Says Vazkepa Secures National Reimbursement in Portugal

04:53 AM EDT, 07/18/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amarin ( AMRN ) said late Wednesday the Portuguese Ministry of Health has approved Vazkepa for national reimbursement to lower the risk of cardiovascular events in adult patients.

The company said the approval allows it to start Vazkepa's commercialization in Portugal as of Aug. 1.

Vazkepa now has eight national reimbursement approvals in Europe, Amarin ( AMRN ) said.
