01:27 PM EDT, 03/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amarin ( AMRN ) shareholder JEC Capital Partners and some of its affiliates urged the company's board in an open letter Wednesday to undergo a strategic review to maximize shareholder value.

The shareholder group, which owns around 15 million shares in Amarin ( AMRN ), said in the letter that company's share price has dropped from $2.03 in February 2023 to $0.43 currently.

The investment firm also said that the company has not executed on a share repurchase of up to $50 million it had announced at the start of 2024.

Amarin ( AMRN ) did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
