Amazon Launches Amazon Web Services Infrastructure Region in Taiwan; Plans $5 Billion Investment

03:51 AM EDT, 06/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) said late Thursday it launched an Amazon Web Services infrastructure region in Taiwan.

The company will invest more than $5 billion to fund the construction, connection, operation, and maintenance of data centers in Taiwan, it said.

The region, called AWS Asia Pacific (Taipei) Region, will support organizations across Taiwan and across Asia Pacific.
