04:42 AM EST, 01/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon's ( AMZN ) Web Services subsidiary said Tuesday it launched the AWS Asia Pacific (Thailand) Region for cloud services.

The subsidiary said it plans to invest more than $5 billion in Thailand, allowing for more than 11,000 full-time-equivalent jobs annually and adding around $10 billion to the country's gross domestic product.

The new region consists of three availability zones, AWS added.
