02:02 PM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) said Thursday the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration has agreed to withdraw all but one ergonomic hazard citations it issued to the company, closing an investigation that was opened in 2022.
The company said the agreement was reached following its full cooperation with OSHA, and comes without any claim of wrongdoing on its part for the withdrawn citations nor a directive to implement additional safety controls.
While nine of the 10 citations have been withdrawn, Amazon ( AMZN ) said it accepted a citation at its MDW8 site in Illinois, where the company agreed to make changes to reduce risks to employees.
Amazon ( AMZN ) shares were up about 2% in recent trading.
