Amazon Releases Machine Learning Model Nova Sonic to Make AI Dialog More Realistic

10:02 AM EDT, 04/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon.com ( AMZN ) said Tuesday that it has released Amazon Nova Sonic, a machine learning model that aims to create more human-like voice conversations in artificial intelligence applications.

The company said Nova Sonic can be used for voice applications, such as customer service call automation, and creates a "more natural dialog." It also said it understands nuances of human conversation, such as natural pauses and hesitations and can wait to speak until the appropriate time.

Shares of Amazon ( AMZN ) were up 4.3% in recent early trading.
