Amazon ( AMZN ) said it identified potential problems with the drone's altitude sensors due to dust in the air, which could have interfered with altitude readings.

Although the company said the problem never surfaced and didn't result in any "actual safety issues," it halted operations to prioritize safety standards.

Amazon ( AMZN ) said it has tested its upgraded drone fleet and has resumed deliveries to customers after receiving approval from the US Federal Aviation Administration.
